From The Comic's Comic

January through March edition

Thank one of my Substack supporters for this special request. They wanted to know where they could find all of the comedy specials released so far in 2023, and while I’ve been trying to keep a running tab on this from week to week, it’s something else when you see the full list. Or at least I hope this is the full list?!?

So two clarifications or declarations before you look at the list of 2023 comedy specials. FIRST, especially with regard to the YouTube citations, I must remind you how painfully easy it is for anyone anywhere in the world to record themselves and upload it for sharing on YouTube as a “full comedy special.” My including it on this list should NOT be construed as me legitimizing some of these people as professional stand-up comedians. Kind of like how Elon Musk has decided (as of this moment in time, since he changes his mind frequently) to confuse Twitter users as to who’s paying for their Twitter Blue checkmark and who’s a “legacy verified” account, but you can tell pretty easily — some of these YouTubers with comedy specials are glorified open-mikers and it won’t take you the full hour to figure out who’s among them. SECOND, I must also stress that because’s there’s no surefire way to account for all of the new comedy specials available to stream on Earth, and I’m the first to attempt this (as far as I know), I may have somehow missed one or more. So if you know of a 2023 comedy special (at least a half-hour long) that’s not on the list, please alert me so I can correct and update this list accordingly! Thank you.
