Funny thing about spending the first two weeks of August at the Edinburgh Fringe is that you barely have any time to think about anything else, up to and including this update on the televised performances and premieres of new stand-up specials from the past month. But you were maybe preoccupied with the Summer Olympics in Paris, which provided plenty of comedy, too, right? Am I right, my Raygun maniacs? Alrighty then. My apologies, and let’s get to the recap for July 2024!
America’s Got Talent
NBC announced the 44 acts moving on to the live primetime rounds of season 19 of America’s Got Talent, and they include four comedic acts.
Erica Rhodes
Learnmore Jonasi
Schumacher
Tonikaku
Last Month in Late-Night
Before the Summer Olympics pre-empted NBC’s programming, Reggie Conquest got a chance to shine on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
So, too, did Orlando Leyba.
And Hannah Berner promoted her Netflix debut with a Tonight Show set.
Erica Rhodes also scored an appearance on CBS via Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
